LACDC’s Spring Concert “YOUTH” features a group of works focused on the adolescent perspective, and the awkward, vulnerable and ecstatic stages we must journey through to get to adulthood, featuring:
*”The Better To See You With” (premiered 2011) – A dark, humorous and graphic rendition of Little Red Riding Hood by Holly Rothschild
*”I RAN” (premiered 2009) – a look at an apathetic group of teens trying to survive the trials and tribulations of high school by Kate Hutter
*And the world premier of “Demigods”, a new work for the company by acclaimed L.A. choreographer and dancer, Nina McNeely featuring wireless lighting technology housed inside the dancers costumes created by Derek Michael and Sarah Sachs, and original music by Robbie Williamson and Anna Sitko.
